Introduction

Have you ever wondered why children's laughter and playful footsteps could be seen as noise? Why are some individuals advocating for restrictions on children's activities in public spaces like parks? These questions became the driving force behind starting this blog. It all began with a series of complaints posted in my former apartment building, targeting the noise caused by children running and playing. The problem escalated as these complaints seemed to recur frequently, creating tension among the residents.

Curiosity led me and my research partner to explore further, and we soon noticed a similar sentiment echoed in news articles and social media platforms. There seemed to be a growing number of individuals who viewed children's voices and activities as disruptive noise. They called for stringent regulations on the use of public parks, citing children's voices as a nuisance. This phenomenon left me pondering: Are children's voices truly considered noise?
In this blog, we aim to delve into this controversial topic and challenge the prevailing notion that children's voices should be stifled and their play restricted. By examining different perspectives, sharing personal experiences, and exploring research on the importance of play and community engagement for children's development, we hope to foster a more nuanced understanding of the subject.
Join us on this thought-provoking journey as we unravel the complexities surrounding children's voices and their place in our society. Together, let's explore the delicate balance between harmonious coexistence and the right of every child to express themselves freely.

We will be posting progress on our research every week.
